Baby Book

Julianne's baby book is here! It is too cute. I found it on etsy and could not love it more. It is under RubyLove based in Los Angeles and would be a wonderful gift to give.

We are slowly, but surely, getting ready for this little girl whose due date is 38 days away. I can't believe how fast it is approaching. We are going to the midwife weekly now and have our next appointment tomorrow. I love hearing that heartbeat every time. AJ finished painting the fireplace and now we just have to work on the mantle. I will post a picture when it is done. Loving all the progress we are making and so thankful for the blessings God has given us as we are about to add a sweet little girl to our family.

Progress and an Update on Brim

AJ finally started the fireplace project and has it primed. It looks so much better already.

He looks so excited!

We took Brim to the vet Saturday night and found out he has a bacterial infection. Normally, he is very good about taking medicine, but I guess since he has to take so much this time he has decided to become defiant and refuse to swallow the pills. While AJ works on the fireplace, I'm trying to come up with a birth plan. I have no idea what I'll want, but it will probably be the opposite of whatever I write down. Also, I need to find a pediatrician who doesn't think that giving birth outside of a hospital is weird-it's not like I'm going to my neighbor's house to have a baby! And they have to be okay with an alternative vaccine schedule, so good luck to me.

Oh yeah, I have a blog

I'm exhausted. I blame our sweet baby who kicks my butt (technically my ribs) almost every night starting around bedtime. I blame my sick dog, who wakes up in the middle of the night several times to go outside and has to be taken out several times a day to avoid messes that I do NOT want to clean up. I blame my husband who comes home and watches Rangers games because he is as exhausted as I am. So today I am attempting to catch up on what's been going on before the exhaustion hit. My sister's family came to town and I miss my nieces terribly.
Sweet Amy who loves her Uncle AJ
Liz showing off her Dora band aid and who would proclaim, "I love MY Dora!"

So basically, I am ready to move to Indiana right now. It doesn't hurt that right now the weather is ridiculously hot and humid. We also began childbirth classes at the birth center and are getting ready for the big day. We are so excited to meet our little girl, but definitely have a lot to do before she gets here. Oh, and the fireplace project has not been touched. Well, it's almost 4pm and I have yet to eat lunch and we are missing a free Rangers game tonight to take our pup to the vet, so I better get going, but I will try to be a better blogger to the three or four people who actually read this.

Projects and Presents

Here are some projects we are working on. We finally put in  a new patio screen door after Brim went through the original one to chase a deer. We are also working on our huge 70's fireplace to help it look more modern. It has been put on hold since my sister and her family are in town this week. Suzanne got me a great activity mat and an adorable lovie for Julianne. Thanks Aunt Suzanne!

Baby Update

I had my last monthly appointment today and will start going every two weeks. So glad to be feeling better and only 10 weeks to go! Julianne appears to be head down and hopefully will stay that way. My blood work from the gestational diabetes test came back and everything was in the normal range-hooray! We haven't had a lot of questions so far, but I think that's about to change with childbirth classes starting in less than two weeks :).

Welcome Back Janet

We had a cookout last night in celebration of Janet coming back from her month-long trip to Germany. We had such a great time visiting with everyone and definitely need to have more cookouts. We also got some great gifts from Germany. Thanks Janet!

Julianne's first clothing item-too cute!

AJ got a t-shirt and I got a cute scarf

Baking Extravaganza

Ok, so maybe not an extravaganza, but I've made brownies from scratch and will be making muffins for breakfast also from scratch. I've gotta make the most out of being stuck at the house all day. Hoping to get a few brownies before AJ devours the whole pan!
